Is this familliar to you?? Because all these questions are part of my life.

My story begins one and a half year ago when I first came to Paris. I was tired after a long trip and I felt like sleeping all day. My mother tried to show me around but I knew I was going to stay here for a while so why do I need to bother…anyway after that, I saw everything a thousand times!

I didn’t like Paris, this stupid french language wasn’t for me, I had no friends. Just my nice and lovely family, some people in a huge city!!!

I went to the church and God spoke to me from the first time: ” You are not here by chance, God has placed you here, so you have to love the city you are in.”

When I first heard that I realised that God had a plan, that before I was even born, He knew I will be in Paris. That is why He welcomed me with these words.
After that I heard this phrase 4 or 5 times…until today when God told me again: ” You are not here by chance, I planned for you to be here, so make the most out of it and preach the Gospel” Wow, this message again?? But… I thought I loved Paris and I started to like it , why is God saying this to me??

Because a couple of hours earlier I was talking to my brother and he told me :

“First lesson: You need to have faith!”

“Yeah, who doesn’t have?? I do!!!”

It is not enough to get me by, it is not the faith that can move the mountains, I believe but not with all my heart, my fears and doubts have made me unfaithfull. I believe I’m here for a reason , that there is a plan, but I don’t understand it and I refuse to continue.

I was asking myself why I have to go again to university, why do I have to be in this process of having no papers, medical assurance, waiting for months , for all of these. Why I’m still living with mum and dad, why I’m not married, will I ever get married??

“Lesson two: “Don’t worry!!!”

We are all in the relay race, waiting for the relay to come and to pick it up so we can pass it forward and it seems like is never coming!! When is going to be my moment , when God is going to use me and I can change the things in my life?? God says do not worry, your moment will come, you will change and your life is going to be better but you are in a process, not ready yet!!

Everyone runs, some of them are closer to the end others just begin. We all are in the same relay race and one day our moment will come and our generation will be changed.

It is true, those two lessons I had to learn them once more, even if I have the verses writen on my bed, it seems that lately I slept backwards because I didn’t see them.

All of us need to understand that God does have a plan, that we are not alone and He knows what He is doing. Even when we think God is slow to answer , is not true in fact … it is ME that makes the task much harder…because I am not ready yet and It will take me a while do understand. I hope not too much…I’m 24 already ))

It is 1 o’clock in the morning. I can hear the rain dripping down my window, it’s kind of cold and I’m afraid ..or at least I think I am, for God is with me so will be no reason…well my aunt snores so as my uncle so it is pretty scary!!!

 The title sounds interesting and I’m wondering why did I choose it, anyway??? Because I hate!!! 

 You might wonder how does a christian hates things. You see, in life not everything is worthy of our appreciation and sometimes you need to hate some things in order to move forward, because if you love all things you’ll end up in hell!

For example one thing I really hate is sin. From this we can go on with hipocrisy, cheating,stealing etc. I hate when people find sin, fun, attractive like nothing is wrong life goes on so let’s enjoy it. Sin is so easy like a snake that crawls under your skin , you don’t feel it and when it bites, you die slowly. So true, sad,  with so many dead people and broken lives.

  I  watched a movie tonight called “Because I sad so”…a mother trying to find her daughter a husband and finally she find one for herself. This movie it supposed to be fun , interesting and for the “spicy” lovers it is perfect. It wasn’t for me. I like it in a way but I hate it too. Too cheesy, sinful people pretending that this is what you have to do and in the end love is all that matters.

   What I’m trying to say here is that if we had to take that movie as our lesson for life, we will understand that you have to search for the guy like crazy, when you find him have sex with him and in the end if it happens to have another guy along…well it is  sad,  but you find out who is really the right boy for you, it’s your mother’s fault that you are into it. So, support the consequences and finally he will come for you , using some of his “glamorous” words …and you are back together…wow interesting life…I hate that!!!!

I hate when guys pretend to be Prince charming just to get you in bed.

 When girls run away for boys as crazy, when they fell for it and it hurts.

When sin is consider a normal thing.

When sex is like a toy.

When purity is considered in the wrong way.

When God is not involved.

This is it! I hate it!

 Honor and enjoy your Creator while you’re still young!

Yes, it has been a long time…because I was so busy, I did not have time to write anything on my blog. But tonight I will take a short break from my study, to write some stuff on my blog.

These days , I was looking for a job and finally I found it. Now I am working part time with a 8 years old little french girl,  I like it. I am so happy that God helped me with this job.

  University is going good, days are passing so fast, sometimes when I look at the week who is about to start, I know that will not last to long. Time is flying..Honestly!!

  Anyway, today I was to see the movie “The Golden Compass” with Nicole Kidman, lol this is funny, she was acting in the movie but I was with my friends. I can say that I liked the special effects, the bears lol, the compass… I enjoyed the fantastic story, the movie makes me search for the books and read them.

  I heard there are 3 books..but with my exams I am not sure I will read them soon. Maybe I have to tell you a bit about the movie, but  tonight I don’t feel like it, I will let you go and watch it lol.

   I learned something today , that God has His own time and if we try to change this, everything will became a mess. I love my friends and I would like to do everything to help them, but sometimes I am rude and I help them just because it helps me and then I realise is wrong, ’cause I am not happy and I cannot enjoy the moments spent with them. It is hard for me to wait for God, because most of the times I look for my own selfish desires, and I want things now…when I search in the past, I see that when I was not patient, my life was a mess and my heart was in trouble.

  I would like to end here by saying , that sometimes in life you have to wait, to be patient, to trust God and to see things transparent and the most important thing don’t help your friends so you can get your problems solved.

Last Tuesday, I was at the American church, we had a party. Everyone was suppose to wear costumes and to have fun. I decided to take it, even though for me Halloween is not such a big deal..

It was a lot of fun, we played games, ate cheese LOL…and enjoyed each others company. Here are some cute pictures with us in costumes…Harry Potter honored us with his presence and Pippi Long socks stepped out from the cartoon and made us laugh with her nice presence. Also the english turists in Paris could not miss this party, so they left the Eifel Tower and visited the American Church in Paris. And we had also one princess which arrived at the party …LOL..that is me!!!

  Hey you all…Did you missed my blogs??  Be honest , you don’t have to say yes, but if you do…that is great!!

  This month I started  the university, I am in the 1st year, studying langauges, Modern Greek , French and Romanian. When I think of Greek languge,  is so funny, everyone is asking me why I choose that. In fact I wanted to study ancient greek to read the bible but they don’t have classes of ancient greek..and of course I need to comunicate, so I choose modern greek which is closer to my latin language. I wanted to take koreean also, but….not yet!!

    We started with learning letters, and conversation..and I can easly say now “My name is… Me lene… Ilinca”.. and I can also write my name in greek..so things are going well. The most difficult thing is that I have to learn french also  and I have a few classes of french..which are interesting ..’cause the teacher speaks almoust 42 languages..even romanian..but in class he speaks french of course…

   Romanian, is something that I did not think about, but since I had to choose a language to work with i thought that my mother tongue will be better that other language..

So my life now as a student is going well, I’m waiting for my Visa de sejour..and when I will have it will be a miracle….I will work somewhere!!!Please pray for that, is so weird….I hope all goes well!!

   That is it my short story as a new student in Paris..by the way the university is close to my house… (( I really wanted to walk somewhere far in Paris , have some sightseeing..but ( Anyway the good thing is that my metro is crossing the  river Sene and it is very beautiful!! So it’s lovely!

 I’ve been to Romania these past two weeks, and I really enjoyed it.  I worked for two weeks on a building, which has been build by other volunteers that came to Pitesti. The exact location, of our volunteer work was at Oarja, a small village near Pitesti. There were some buildings build and the families had a house there. I worked with foam, isolation foam, and we had to put it on the walls of the house, on the outside, so we “screwed it” as we say, taking the drill machine and put some screws inside so that the foam will not fall off. After that another team, will continue puting the sidings on the foam. Some people worked hard to put this foam, and the sidings, and i think it was fun but we all were tired. I learned how to put plasture, on the walls, mixing ciment, sand and some white stuff, I don’t know the name of it…anyway, it was fun, and annoing for me to put the plasture on, esspecially when i worked with Laurent this french boy, from our team, which could not put the plasture on the wall and half of it would fall on me.

   But, it was a good experience for everyone. Soon, I will add pictures and videos, so you can see what we have done.

On the 21 june, Paris , celebrated the music holiday, and everywhere around the city , people were outisde singing…guys with their guitar, rock, pop music, and a huge concert at Bastille. All night you could enjoy music everywhere. The metro was open until morning, so travelling was not a problem. Of course that i wanted to enjoy the day, and i went with Erynn my american friend, into the heart of the music Bastille. The metro was full, so hot…and when we arrived there thousand of people were on the streets … I received a Nivea Spray for free ) that was cool and in that day i bought some cool stuff from the clothes store…some red shoes and some short pants..i love my new outfit!!

   While walking on the streets, i saw a huge concert …i listened a little bit , some africans were singing…but I did not stayed to long, because of the crowd…

  I can say, that french people they have many celebrations, this Sunday was Fete de la cinema- Movie day, and in some cinemas you could see movies with 2 euro.. where I live in Clichy, I could go and see Shrek the third with 2 euros, but i did not go, because was Version Française- French Version…not cool!! Related to that, I saw one day at TV, Christina Aguilera’s song translated into french…that was so funny ) That is why , people in France don’t speak english very well, because of the movies and other shows which are dubled in french.  Anyway…i spend a nice day at the music festival!!
