Many people and my coleagues in class , they asked me why I choose to study greek at university. It is stupid I know but my strong reason is that one day I will be able to read the New Testament in it’s original language. So this is what i say to everybody…
These days i realised how hard it is to learn two languages in the same time. French and greek, they don’t have too much in common, sometimes the grammar is so difficult that i cannot understand a thing. Anyway, as the verse says :”With Christ everything is possible”.
This week was so crazy, Monday and Tuesday learning and understanding this complicate language…but I had two days off which gave me the oportunity to relax…and today the RATP of Paris they are on strike, so it is impossible to go somwhere..if you have a bike or good feet you can move around easily.
Why greek?? Because is a latin language, the New testament is written in greek, I plan to visit Greece some times, and I love to be a witness in my greek class…I don’t have to forget the carte de etudiant which awaits me at the Prefecture!!
Why not Greek ? It’s a beautiful old language, but Jesus’s language is better, don’t you think so ?
So you should try “Araméen” Language , did-you ever eard “Our father” song in Araméen ?
